5513 - How easily should the bezel turn?
I got a 5513 from the late 1960s, and the bezel turns very easily, even without applying pressure. Is it supposed to only turn when applying pressure? Does this count as a serious defect?

Yes, this is a serious defect. Being a physician, I also worry for your health and safety. Please send the watch to me and I will dispose of it for you.
(Just kidding....jk as my kids say) If you pop the bezel off there is a small friction washer underneath. A small bend placed in this washer and it will move only when you exert downward pressure on the bezel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

^^^exactly, just mess with the friction washer a bit and you can add some resistance. Pretty normal for 4 digits with bi rotational bezels. I used a bit of dental floss on a 1675 once as the friction washer was toast and I was waiting for the part.

Make sure the friction washer (very thin metal ring) in under the bezel.
