I just go to buy the car. I do my research on the internet as I find that many salespeople are quite young and inexperienced. I go to "fixed price" dealers to eliminate the haggling. I plan on wearing my YG Sub next time and see if they care what I am wearing.

A few years ago I noticed a bunch of different Marriott Time Share salesmen in Hawaii were wearing Platinum dialed Yachtmasters and I asked one that I knew about it, and he said sort of in confidence, it was a bonus for sales numbers.

But they were advised to just say, if anyone commented, that it was an anniversary present from their wives.

I've been in the car biz most of my life, still am. When I worked at 'A' dealerships as a buyer/seller I wore suits to polos and 99% never noticed my watches from seiko to rolex.

Your fine, no one notices the watches. Depends what cars you selling, and how you are treating the customer is the bottom line.

I've had one salesperson comment on my watch (Tudor? Never heard of that brand) and another salesman pretend to pull up his sock as he lowered his chin to the table in order to look up my sleeve to see my watch.
Strange I know.
I'll wear the Seiko or Gshock next time.

You own one to wear it and I have. Even as a Police Officer I wore mine and only once did someone say "You guys make alot of money eh"! Someone I arrested noticed my Rolex and asked if it was a Rolex?
When I see someone wear a Rolex regardless of model I appreciate their taste and never think they're showing off or trying to impress anyone.......

Before the recession I dealt in wholesale and our main customers were the auto dealerships. I traveled between 3 states to service the dealers and visited many dealerships in my tenure. I saw many Rolex watches on the wrists of sales persons which was really common.
