Hello from Illinois!
I recently found this forum and I am impressed with the knowledge I have seen so far!
I am researching my fathers Rolex Daytona 6239 its a an early one with the following information: Case Number: 105XXXX 72 calibre Right now it is not functioning and I am trying to figure out how to move forward. I don't want to have the watch be "ruined" with new parts, but what's the value/point of a non functioning watch? Anyways, I also have a modern Rolex Date Just that is my daily time piece. I hope to get involved in more conversations here! Adam |

Welcome.
We have a number of skilled watchmakers in the Forum who know the value of early Rolex watches and can lead you through what you need.

Welcome to the forum, AdamB34.
Whatever you do, don't send it to a Rolex Service Center. Find an independent service shop that specializes in vintage Rolex. There are many stories at this site of very excellent and reputable Rolex technicians. (A Rolex Service Center will want to replace everything (if they have it) and that will ruin your watches patina and history.)
