This morning I serviced my faithful iRobot Scooba. Last week I assembled the new outdoor furniture we were delivered a few days before the complete lockdown.

Reading TRF a hundred times a day.

The wife lost her job yesterday, so now I will be spending more time with her.

Not a bad thing, she and I have a great relationship.

I am actually enjoying the time I have been spending with my family. My daughter was sent home from college, and my other daughter is home for at least several weeks from high school. We have movie marathons, go hiking, make crazy dinners, bake things late at night and take long walks through the woodlands near home. Everyone is a little stir crazy, but I am having fun. I missed having everyone together, so I’m just taking advantage of it.

We are mostly kept busy with our 11 month old son and 3 month old boxer puppy. Walks in nearby parks is about all we've got for outdoor activity at this point.

Cooking at home has been really enjoyable. Some of my standard staples haven't been as available so trying lots of new things.
I've finished two books and started a new one. Online classes everyday, one language and one technical. Today will be my 4th 5k in a row and I've lost a few lbs.

I know this is a difficult time for many. I wish them the best in health and in their economic recovery. I hope they are able to find happiness in the solitude or time with loved ones.

Hell, I'm going to work as usual. FedEx is considered a core/necessary service provider so I have a travel ban exemption and normal hours. I'm an Ops Admin and hold a Switcher rating (moving the trailers around the yard, spotting up on the loading bays) so there is always something for me to do. Too much, actually. But that's a good problem to have.

Working during the week from bed. Running through abandoned streets in the morning for my daily 5 mile run. Shopping as many local stores and bakeries as I can to support them.

Not sparing the dessert. Did I mention I live near a lot of patisseries?

Starting tomorrow it’ll be 3 hour workouts.

Clean closets.

Organize myself.

Strategize future business.

Likely a lot of writing too.

I’ve been playing tennis with my son, throwing the football, grilling out almost every day. We left our apartment to spend the time at my in-laws’ house since there is more space and a backyard. Mostly working during the day, though. Lots of conference calls!

From tomorrow will be aiming to get out around the grounds each day. Need to organise my wife and own work agendas so we can look after our boy in parallel.

Stay home, wash your hands & stay safe.

Cleaning and sorting out the garage, sharpening knives, reading books that I have bought for a rainy day and trying not to drink more wine then usual. Oh yeah, trying to get me Kids to help with the cleaning.
