Batgirl

EDIT: Just to say that nicknames can be a curse. If you're wanting it to be called anything else you'll be waiting a long time...

I sometimes wonder what this forum is coming too,now its nothing more than very childish names for what was once a prestigious brand of mechanical watches.

Just a bit of fun. I am impartial (no plan to buy) but I have to say to my eyes it just doesn't go on a jubilee. I saw the BLNR, saw the BLRO - neither looks right on that bracelet to me. I would much sooner get the CHNR than either pepsi or the bat***...*

No, not really

It is old and tired and people are now just doing it for spite.

Victim of its own success. Rolex transcended the 'tool' market long ago, insofar as the word pertaining strictly to watches. The current climate is obnoxious but Rolex seems to be catering to the lowest common denominator rather than the enthusiast who values brand heritage...the proof is in their use of these nicknames to identify watches on their own website.

I've never referred to a nickname, they are all the same thing. Batman or Paul Newman.

Very well said Padi. I too unfortunately wonder the same thing every time I log in. Not only childish but in this case inflammatory nonsense.
