126600 wait time?

Curious what people are experiencing in terms of wait times for SD43 from AD. I know there are a lot of factors at play, but in comparison to availability of other SS hotties, where does it stand? I’ve inquired from 3 ADs (two locals and one while traveling) and have gotten three different answers ranging from “I’ll call you when I get one”, to “could be mid next year”, to “can’t really say, how about a TT datejust?” Based on current grey pricing I’m assuming we’re not talking Daytona or BLRO territory, and maybe more similar to sub? Looks like current grey premium for NIB is in the 25-35% markup range. Anyway, if you’ve got recent experience, would love to hear it. Thanks all.

Don’t know where you are but just saw one at the Mohegan Sun Casino - Lux Bond store last night. It was available as of ~10PM

I have been waiting a week ..
Don't expect before Christmas

I would not pay £3000 extra from a grey
For the sake of a years wait.

Me neither, if the watch I want is going to be a 1, 5 or 10 year wait then I can either wait or buy something else, sometimes patience is a virtue

Most likely a black Deepsea....people often confuse them with SD43 when they see them in windows.

What if there was a price increase before your arrived ?. I am waiting for something and keep thinking buy from a grey and have a haggle on there asking price and if there was a Rolex price increase the difference may not seam so bad

I waited 2-3 weeks. Wanted it in June, got it in July. Also, the AD let me try on a 'spoken-for' SD43 in June to see if I wanted it. So the AD got 2 in the span of two months.

This was my first purchase from that AD.

My AD told me he gets 2-3 per year. depending on your ADs VIP demands it could be a while. Personally I don’t like the grey market, but in this case I would use it.
1. Because you can skip the AD BS.
2. The MK1 version can still be had for a reasonable premium comparatively, and it is considered to be one of the most collectible offerings for the coming years.
So it’s actually worthy of its modest premium.
3. It can be at your door tomorrow, so you can start enjoying it.

Good luck.

Wasn’t in the window...a friend and I were trying on several pieces and they brought it out along with a Smurf and a full rose gold root beer.

They are out there. I have been offered four in the last year. I purchased the third offer back in May. The fourth offering was just last week. They are desired. Just not as much as a Hulk, Batman, Pepsi (IMO).

I got mine in 5 months. No deposit or previous purchase. Just a good AD that remember my business card.

If you really want this watch now, then justify it by getting an MK1. You will not get that at an AD. If you don't care, then I'd just go on the hunt and try to get one. Most people on this forum has said that the wait time is not insane.

If VIPs wanted it, they already got it. People who are buying it now are genuine buyers. The grey market premium is not huge, especially if you factor in taxes. People selling to greys are making little money on this watch.

I got my JC2 last December. My AD texted me the day of Baselworld too so I was on the list since day one with only one prior purchase

Stopped at the local AD one day last year . Inquired about availability and was told they had a list a mile long . Gave the salesman my number (never purchased anything there) about two weeks later the salesman called . He said I have an SD43 if you want it tell me now . Gave my CC# and hurried there to pick it up .
