Show Your DAYTONA

I know this is blasphemy, but in the past I was not interested in adding a Daytona to my collection … a little too “busy” … but now, having put one on my wrist, I have to have one (I know the line is long).

Please post pictures of your Rolex Cosmograph Daytona …
so I can see what I am missing.

Not that busy - just can’t tell the chrono time elapsed instantly. Mainly due to the large numbers on the subdials hiding the track but you get used to it quite quickly.

Beautiful … this is the one I put on at the AD … beautiful in the picture, even better in person.

I told the SA, “I would do anything to buy that watch” … she said, “You would have to build a relationship with the store” … I told her, “Buying that watch Starts that relationship !!!”

If going with SS…you’re right, the white is better in person. But, both white and black are sharp.
My favorite is the blue …

These subdials work and are designed properly.

Subsequent designs are terrible. The 9 o'clock subdial is wrong. Why does it have 4 digits when the others have 3? Why do the 3, 9 and 12 face in and the 6 face out?

It's a mess and uncomfortable to look at. Older watches like you have (Zenith movement?) are so much nicer. (Although having the same layout on each subdial would be even better).
