Navitimer 1 38 mm

Hello,

i see a beautiful watch and i try it ; it's a Breitling Navitimer 1 38 mm witch black dial.

Breitling's guys don't like it because no chrono for a Navitimer and beaded bezel !

What do you think about this watch ?

In you opinion, is it more a watch for women or for men ?

Some pictures with my small wrist (only 6") :

I like 38mm watches as I too have a small wrist. Therefore, I like it!

I also like that particular reference...and that color combo in particular. Looks really well sized for your wrist, although I must say that you seem to wear that strap a bit tighter than I would...

Did you try on the 41mm version, looks like you could pull it off!

Initially I also liked the watch, mostly for the size (my wrist is 6.25). However when I took notice of the beaded bezel it just did not seem right on what is suppose to be a masculine watch. Plus when I think of navitimers I always picture a chronograph - specifically a reverse panda. As beautiful and as comfortable the 38mm is I just don’t think it fits my idea of a navitimer.
I am more inclined to get the 41mm and as previously said I think it would fit your wrist.

Gotta say, I think that looks great! I particularly like the beaded bezel. Breitling always has a little "flash" to it, which I think looks fantastic!

Yes i do, no photo but Navi 1 41 mm (no chrono) is too big (Big opening of dial in this Navi 1 41mm).

i also try a Navitimer 41 mm (chrono), it's also too big and too thick in my wrist ; it's not very comfortable and in my opinion : too much !

Looks great on you. The watch is not for women or men - it is unisex.

Also tried it in store. I Prefer the 41 mm navi (or cosmonaute). On paper I would also say the 38 would be the ideal size, but it's a heavily modified navi to make it this size and it loses the charm of the original. You can pull off the 41 no problem. They made this a unisex watch, which is a good concept.
I was gonna comment the way you dress is very very french but then when I saw where you come from... :D

I like the 38mm non-chronograph version better and it's definitely a man's watch that looks good on your wrist.

I like the 38, but not a fan of that particular dial. Prefer when the chapter ring contrasts the inner dial.

Finally, i try this one with blue dial and cream bezel and i think it will be better than the black one. I have no wrist photo about it...

I have already a Longines Hydroconquest black dial and black rubber, so Navitimer 1 38 mm with gold leather strap, it will be my choice...

It's cool and a lot of watch for the money. I love the dial. Not my taste at 38, but it's certainly cool. Wish they hadn't made so much, would be cool to make them more exclusive since less Breitling buyers are searching for 38s.

I owned the 41 blue dial on bracelet. Was a fun watch!

SOH 38 any time soon?

Am wondering whether Breitling will release the 38mm SOH again any time soon?

Cheers!

I have the 38mm version and enjoy the watch. However, I find it extremely hard to wind the crown compared to my other watches. The resistance to winding is much higher coupled with a very small crown.

Here's my 41mm Old Navitimer (1990's) on my small <7" wrist. Great fit and very comfortable. The Breitling mesh bracelet augments the comfort factor, too, besides looking great IMO.
