Seiko SKX007: still in production?

Hey all,

Any idea if the SKX007 is still in production, or one would have to source it on the grey market?

Had a look around and can't find an answer.

Thanks,
D

I think they are still in production , but are not part of the official seiko line , more of a grey dealers item.

Best prices I’ve found are from skywatches sg or longisland watches in the u.s

Great watch for the price with iso divers certification to boot ;)

I would never buy this watch from an AD as they are available with significant discounts form many reputable sources. Great watch.

Anyone dig the new 37mm SKX013? I still prefer my 42 SKX009.

Creation Watches has them for around $200USD. I bought a Pepsi bezel SKX from them within the last year.

I do see them all over, Amazon, Joma, Long Island. But if you want one, get one. The SKX173 is very hard to find and the handwriting is on the wall that Seiko is moving on from these watches.

Read the Hodinkee articles on the 007 and 013. These are fun watches for about $200.

Yeah heard the same.

Wouldnt be surprised if Seiko upgraded the SKX to a turtle/sami level in the future.

So they would put a RRP the same as the lower tier prospex but in reality the prices would come out about $220 odd, the same as the Samis and turtles.

Id not be surprised if it was Prospex branded too.

I actually picked one of these up today. The 007 was my first watch, but was too big for my smaller wrists. A few years later I have the smaller sibling and I really like it.
