Which Independent Watch Brand(s) would you consider next ?

And for which reasons ?
Craftsmanship, Small production, value preservation ? ...

Lange (don’t think they are independent anymore), FP Journe are among my favorites.

Journe.

Overall craftsmanship in terms of finishing, aesthetic, accuracy. Size is also a factor. Journe is independent but not a small mom and pop I need to wait 6 months for a watch.

not since 1948 when the the brand stopped production. They re launched in 1990s with help from IWC and JLC (LMH group) and then all became Reichmont later. Have not been independent since before WW II.

They are about the only brand i truly give a pass to for being part of a group as if they weren't then they wouldn't exist at all.

Not sure why it typed “but the bem”. That is jibberish. I like the Akrivia piece named after Rexhep Rexhepi. Chronometre Contemporain

Interesting - i didn’t know about the help they got from IWC and JLC— what kind of help was it? Financial ? Parts? Watchmakers?

Have a recent Lang and Heyne, that is great. I'd like a Kari V., price step down, L. Ferrier

I'd consider a Journe and the new Charles Frodsham looks very nice.

Urban Jurgensen, Czapek, FPJ. Money no object, I'd go with Kari.

I'm somewhat committed to Journe, but beyond that Urwerk (picked up a first piece earlier this year), MB&F, Lang & Heyne and Kari are on the immediate radar.

Akrivia looks very interesting but have not handled anything in person.

+1. Those are my current favorite independents (along with Laurent Ferrier).

I do also respect Habring. For a husband and wife team to rapidly introduce complications like a rattrapante is impressive.

This one is on my radar as well. Tried it on in 18k with silver face the other weekend and it has quickly moved up my list of watches to add in the near future.

Akrivia. For some reason, the AK-06 draws me in. But I am still a bit on the fence about this.

I like this watch as well, but GO is owned by Swatch Group, so it would not be considered an independent watch company.
