Thoughts on the Vacheron Constantin Bucherer Blue

Hey folks. Tomorrow I have a shot at picking up the tradionelle model of the VC Bucherer blue collab. I’m quite into into but it’s also rather expensive. Still I will have the benefit of VAT refund and I’m curious about everyone else’s POV? I might move it if it’s not for me in the long run and curious if anyone else here is interested in it? Share any and all thoughts. Thanks!

I like it. You will get killed on resale if you decide to sell.

Generally speaking, VC watches dont hold value. Buy only if you plan to keep it.

Try to get it on the grey market or used. It will take a big hit.

As much as i love VC, unfortunately their pricing is outside the realm of reality and their resale value is one of the worst in the industry. But like others said, if you are certain you will keep it then go for it.

If you are not sure you like it why the hell would you splash that sort of cash?? Unless it was an investment, which this watch definitely isn't.
Looks a stunner though in my opinion

VC make some beautiful watches, this being one of them. However, I find their price point to be on the high side for a lot of their pieces.
For the price of that Bucherer Blue, there are other brands I prefer. And as others have stated, resale value is not good.
However, if you like the watch and it sings to you and you plan on keeping it, get it.
I personally prefer something like an FP Journe CB which costs less, is more unique and desirable, and has a much better resale value.

I actually prefer the basic traditionelle small seconds, so easy decision if it were me. As others have noted, think hard on this one.

Me too. The blue is lovely but I personally don't like date windows on dress watches.

the blue is quite nice, personally the date window throws it off for me on that dial and gold case, in the end its your personal pref. but like others said I think you should be 100 percent sure you are going to keep it as you will get raped on resale.

Thanks for all the tips guys. I passed - especially when I asked for more favorable pricing and got the old “oh but sir have an extra strap on us” routine
