Walked into AD and bought 36mm SS DJ

Walked into AD just now and bought a 36mm SS DJ for the GF. Blue "motif" dial. Oyster bracelet, fluted bezel. Lovely watch. Salesperson said they "just got a shipment." Had 4-5 DJs available, and one champagne dial DD. Very friendly and efficient staff.

Congratulations! Such stories are great to read. Hopefully, we’ll be getting more of these on the forum soon. Got a feeling that there are a lot of outstanding AD experiences, most of which we never know about. So happy this was one you shared. That’s a superb watch, and I am certain your girlfriend will treasure it.

2021/2022 is was really tough, especially this configuration. Definitely much easier now

Big congrats to OP!

I agree. Most of the time the only people that bother posting about their experience are the people that are pissed off enough to take the energy to post lol.

Congrats to the Op

I wasn't able to buy one from an AD. Finally gave up.

Very nice. Congratulations.

I’m now seeing DJ’s regularly for sale in both Orlando and Toronto. Saw several in Toronto just a few days ago and very recently in Orlando. They seem to sell fast. The Toronto AD has TT Exp out for sale.

Since Covid. It’s getting better, but still not easy. For awhile you could order certain configs, but that was stopped, by Rolex, recently, so still not easy. No DJs readily available, at my AD, in northern CA.

Congrats. The blue motif is generally hard to get especially now that it's to be discontinued.

Was this in Waiks or Ala Moana? I haven't been to either in a while, wondering what the selection is like.

Thank you all for the kind words. GF is happy.

I tried to attach a pic bit clearly I am technologically challenged!

My first Rolex purchase in over a decade. Meanwhile my sea dweller purchased used in 2011 is still going strong.

Unrelated but 2011 was a great time to buy rolexes haha!
