I love my 5960, the bracelet is super comfy. Perhaps the main downside is it's quite tall.

I concur. It wears very differently from a 5711 or 5167 which are wonderfully then sport watches. Really it wears like a Daytona. Mine has quickly become my daily driver.

The Stainless Steel Thread.

I absolutely love my white dial 5711 and will save the blue for my eventual 5712.

The pictures of the watch to not do it justice. It is luminescent and beautifully proportioned. Many people do not like the bracelet and some just like the color of the dial and it’s Layout. This is all opinion and those who love it are no more legitimate than those who dislike it. I have never liked the Nautilis or the aquanaut even when they were selling below retail.

I love the brand but I have certain requirements developed over the years of collecting. I only wear bracelets. I live in a hot climate and I got tired of changing $500 watch straps. This eliminates almost every PP especially when you don’t like the aquanaut or the Nautilus. This is the first PP I’ve owned in almost a decade.

But it is quintessentially Patek. The bracelet has been used as the dress bracelet for PP for decades. The case shape is consistent with the elegance of the 5036 and the 5146. The triple window annual calendar is incredibly legible and the mono counter chronograph takes up such a small amount of space. It is classic PPE with a modern twist.

Digging this thread. 5960a is a wonderful reference in the metal. Would love to have a white or black dial at some point.

In the spirit of contributing, here’s my aquanaut on stainless bracelet:

Look perfect and the bracelet is most versatile since you can add the rubber strap later

Lovely! I'm sad I missed out on the white 5980.

Enjoy it in good health!

What a trio. I think that’s the first time you’ve showed the D5. I was doubting you, lol.

Cheers guys, I've moved more towards SS in the last year or two, hope I'm not being influenced by the market.

I took that pic a couple of months ago and have posted it a couple of times on the Rolex forum.

Love the cuffs, are those SS as well? I was in the (possibly misplaced) knowledge that PP cufflinks comes in Wg only.
