'81 Rolex Date 1500 - bracelet questions

I came across an '81 Rolex Date ref 1500 w/B&P at a local non-Rolex shop. Other than a dinged up end link, the watch looks in great shape. While not exactly the Rolex I had my eye on, it looks like a nice watch and I'm interested in it.

My questions are - how easy and expensive is it to replace the end link? It's currently on a jubilee bracelet. The end links don't look like they're solid, but I might be mistaken.

My second question is os it feasible to swap the jubilee for an oyster bracelet? Considering the condition of the watch, the B&P and the price of the watch, I might consider swapping the bracelet unless that's not a good idea.

This would be my first Rolex. Thanks for your consideration.

Thanks,

Phil

You can get an oyster 7835 band. Endlinks for the jubilee are 100 dollars max

Thanks for the reply. Where would I find the oyster bracelet? Would I have to order that through an AD?

David's always right :-). Oyster is correct for the 1500.

78350

My suggestion is get a 78350/557 ends for it. A superior bracelet.
