Which Panerai would you recommend?

Which Panerai would you recommend? I have a 6.5 wrist.
It has to be automatic and waterproof for swimming.

It doesn't matter that it is discontinued.

I've always been from Rolex and Omega and I've never had a Panerai, and I don't know much about it.

Thanks

It it has to be automatic and your size wrist, consider checking out 104, 164, 683, 973, 1312, 1313 and 2392, to name a few.

Go and try them on. All of them! Don’t get hung up on automatic. I have a 233 with 8 day reserve!

PAM 24/25 is the obvious choice. Iconic. My preference is the 025 titanium version.

Panerai Pam 104. It does everything well. 300WR,44mm, button push lugs for easy no-tool strap changes. The newer Pam1104 doesn’t have the better lugs and requires a screwdriver for strap changes. The Pam 104 is more premium and more sought after since its discontinued.

Agree the 104 is a perfect PAM.

This is a great list. You can't go wrong with any of these. I have a 6.75 in wrist and recently switched from 44MM to 42MM models (blasphemy I know) I love the 2392, 683/682/etc.

Of course the 44MM on the list are quite good as well. Just a matter of what you are comfortable rocking.

If you are keen on newer models and like the traditional 44mm case, I would look at the 1313 or 1314. If I thought I could pull it off I would buy one of those today.

Good luck and enjoy the strap changes.

I have a 6.5" wrist, and sold off my 44mm and 45mm PAMs earlier this year. I am now back in with the 42mm 973 Submersible, and couldn't be happier. Fits great and it retains the classic Luminor look.

Imho visit a dealer and try a few on for size as you have a 6.5" wrist. At 6.75" here, the PAM01033 fits great my my wrist, yet I have wide top and thin sided wrist.
