OP, congrats on the new model (if it is an incoming.)

The dial of the new 126613LB is indeed sunburst.

Less subtle, perhaps. But definitely a sunburst. Not a flat one like on Smurf.

Overall, love the shape of the new case, but overall, love the 116613 color scheme (including gold text) and dial color/sunburst effect.

The high gloss Smurf blue dial is amazing (I don't understand why people call it flat)
The gold lettering and minute marks are so much easier on the eye.

I think the white lettering and minute marks just look out of place on the new dial. I bet they change it back to gold soon. Which will make this one collectible.

and totally agree a diamond dial Sub is the best of all

They’re both beauties, but I much prefer the new 126613lB. In person the white text gives is a fresh, clean, crisp look and the sunburst blue dial is mesmerizing.

Flat blue always. It makes the watch and is so sharp in person.

Flat/lacquered dial for me. Not as flashy and low production run will eventually run a higher demand down the road. 40mm is so vintage now.

Both great but I'm going with the sunburst on this one. My jaw dropped when I saw it at the AD and I took it home. The dial has an incredible depth to it, it's mysteriously dark indoor and comes alive outdoor. My favourite dial across all Rolex professional models.

Both awesome! I like the gold letter print instead of the white, but that is just me.

Sunburst, it’s been part of the draw on the LBs since they were five digits. That flat dial was always a swing and a miss for me.

What model are you referencing when you say "flat with diamonds"?

EDIT
OOPS. Earlier when I asked I had googled "116613 diamond dial" and seen none; however, this was an error because the diamonds in the dial are so large that they simply looked like the maxi lume plots!!

WOW. Beautiful.

I've always leaned toward the sunburst dial. There's just something about the flat dial that looks kind of cheap to me.
