Icon5 Does Tudor deserve its own sub-Forum?

I think we’re at a point where the brands have their own identity. From stores, to cases to movements to buyers. Not to mention I’d personally like to see the spread of owners and interest.

Maybe it’s time instead of lumping it in with Rolex?

we have done this almost 100 times. the mods said no. i believe they do but a lot of members probably won't use the tudor forum and the time spent to move the threads will annoying.

plus i hear the truth is tudor was invented before rolex. dufour told me.

Didn’t know this.

But I will say that if we can’t move the odd post, we have bigger issues and if we want engagement it couldn’t hurt. Rolex seems to think there’s a growing market to differentiate. Who are we to dispute that?

Upside of lumping together is it brings more attention to the Tudor brand, since Rolex general is heavily trafficked

this whole website is heavily trafficked and helps drive consumer tastes. for every poster there are many lurkers

but I would agree they're distinct brands, so separation would make sense. ultimately it's the admin's decision and doesn't bother me either way.

Some Rolex owners think they're "better" than Tudor, which seems like a dumb stance. I like how the current Rolex/Tudor combined forum triggers that crowd

Fair enough.

Also why I’d like to see it. Most high post Rolex discussions stem from investments, help me choose and availability and AD / grey assumed chicanery and such.

I’d like to neuter that from Tudor before the infection is permanent.

ah yes the rolex better than tudor crowd. i own both. of course i am not one who believes rolex, of all brands, is the pinnacle of horology. i do like both brands though.

Yes I've read that earlier but Tudor in 2021 is not the same 5 years back. It's a big brand on its own and will have enough threads to keep it busy. It won't be no different than Seiko, Breitling and other brands existing here.
