Need Tudor movement
Hi,
I am new to this Forum. I have a 70's Tudor and I brought it to a place to have it serviced and they stole my movement and replaced it with an Asian movement that does not work correctly. (They were only supposed to clean the watch). Does anyone have any advice for me? I have looked all over for a new movement and can't find one. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I think the movement that it uses is a 2776 or a 2784? the model is a 94110. |

There are so many things wrong with the story & the watch pictured. Not saying it didn't happen but hate to tell you that's not a real Tudor in the 1st place.

Yep. Not a Tudor. Didn't happen. Don't believe it for an instant. This poster has trouble written all over it.

I mean, I was given the watch as a high school graduation gift in the early 80's. I have no doubt it is real. (or at least the case is real). I am not sure about the hands or the crystal or the face?
My dad and I are well known underwater cinematographers and we were both given 18k submariners in the late 80's. |

Need Tudor movement
Fake alert!
That is not a Tudor that has EVER been released. It's a GMT bezel and no GMT Hand. If you're going to try a scam at least use something that looks real. This post will fool no one here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

An original Tudor 94110 used an ETA 2784.
They are plentiful and used in many different watches, so you haven't looked very much if you can't find one. It's hard to believe that anybody would replace a somewhat plentiful ETA movement with a Japanese movement, nothing would line up. Of course, if they did "steal your movement", then you would have a valid criminal complaint you could file to make it right by the shop involved.

At least it's an original story. Not sure what the 18ct sub gifting had to do with it though?

I am not sure what to do next.. I am certain that the case is real. I am not sure about bezel, the face, hands or anything else. The watch is presently at a jeweler in miami and he is the one that is giving me this information. He is the one telling me that he cannot find an original movement for it. I told him to try to find a non rolex/tudor movement and he said that he couldn't find one that would work / fit properly. I dont want to sell it I just want to get it working again as it was a gift.

You will have no trouble getting a new movement. Send the watch in to Rolex/Tudor and they will do for you. No problem.

I contacted Rolex and they say they no longer offer the movement for this watch. Plus they were not to stoked about it presently having a Japanese movement in it. (that does not work).
can anyone just tell me where to buy a Japanese / fake or genuine movement for this watch? thats all I need to know. |

An image of a random case back doesn't prove anything.
If you are trying to fix a fake, or create a Frankenwatch, you're on the wrong Forum. As has been said, ETA movements are plentiful and easily obtained. If you insist on creating something with a "Japanese/fake, or genuine movement", find yourself a nice reproduction Forum where they discuss all you need to know.

can you possibly give me the model number and where I can buy a genuine movement or a link to a forum that can be helpful to my watch problem? I dont mean to insult anyone.

Yes! The bond movies. These guys do sick work. Now it’s time for Jordy to upgrade from a Japanese Tudor to a Swiss Rolex. Let’s do this thing!!
