Incoming - so happy! My 2nd Rolex and 1st professional model...

Well after a quick email to my local AD, I was told they had a beautiful Yachtmaster 40 blue dial in stock. I picked it up this morning and am over the moon with it.

This is my 2nd Rolex, complimenting my Datejust 36 I purchased from them a few years ago. I have no idea why the Yachtmaster is so under appreciated - it is a stunning watch! The red text and seconds hand just pop against the rich blue dial.

The Datejust has been on my wrist every day since I purchased it, but that’ll change now... This caps off a really good year for me, and on my wedding anniversary as well. A good day all round!

Now I just need the yacht to match!

Congrats! it looks great. It's definitely not under appreciated. That's exactly the one I want and almost pulled the trigger 4 or 5 times on the grey market so I can have it, but for one reason or another i didn't. Wear in good health!

Major congratulations! Count me in as a fan of the YM40. I've always purchased what I like, not what's necessarily popular, and the YM40 very much fits that descriptive. I'm still waiting for my Rhodium YM40 from my AD. Told me 3-6 months and I should have it. I'm hoping it's less than 3, but I'm not optimistic. Enjoy your new piece!

Congrats! I love the blue and red.

I wonder why the YM is underappreciated as well. Maybe the bezel color?? If that same dial was on a Sub there is no way it wouldn't be impossible to get.

Exactly, on any other watch, it’d be impossible to get.

I really considered the rhodium dial, but the blue won me over in the end.

Hopefully yours will be right around the corner!
