Voutilainen VS De Bethune

What are your opinions of these two regarding craftmanship, finish, originality etc? Very different styles, but I am trying to decide between a KV Vingt 8 and a De Dethune DB28xp .

Both beautiful, I would say Voutilainen is a bit more niche.

Only because you asked, I would go with Voutilainen.

DB28xp as it's thinner, looks more space age if that's what you're looking for in "originality". The KV feels more old world like a modern take on vintage Vacheron aesthetics.

Voutilainen... but because WB has been pushing De Bethune so hard recently it's offputting.

Agree that KV is less adventurous. I just wonder whether the DB 28xp will age well. I truly love both, but can only get one.

This may be insightful from a person who's owned it for near a decade and has put a lot of mileage on it.

De Bethune, they're doing a stellar job and are truly unique in aesthetic. It's completely out there but they do it in such a classy way.

DB for me because I love the aesthetic. Both are great but it’s pretty apples to oranges IMO. Although Kari’s finishing does seem better.
