What’s the Current Flow of SD43’s?

Are ADs getting a decent inventory flow of these? Yes I know, you can’t get a SS Rolex anymore, lol. But are ADs getting them weekly and just doling them out to preferred customers? Or is it more like the Pepsi where a typical major city AD gets one per month?

They probably get more of them than BLRO’s, but less than a Sub.

I was on waiting list of an AD for almost 2 years and guest what? The AD lost its Rolex status, so I asked wtf happened to my SD43, the saleperson apologized and said they only got 1 SD43...ever.

From what I heard each AD only get a few SS SD43 a year, with the introduction of TT SD43, there would be even less.

I don’t think anyone really knows the answer to this question. Most of it’s all hearsay

Mine took nearly two years from my initial ask to contact me with one (had already gone gray 18 mos prior). However at that point I really didn't have a personal history with them like I do now. They get them in - it's getting the AD to offer it to you that is the hard part.

i received one of the first SD43s from my AD in about ten months from its Basel debut. I have a great history and relationship with my AD, and i was pleasantly surprised how quickly it showed up.

It was 5 months for me. No prior relationships or purchases from a local AD

I walked in and talked for a bit and then they pulled one out the back. I went back a week later for my wife to see some Datejusts and they asked me if I knew anyone that was looking for a SD43 as they had another in the back.

I was told by my AD who is very reliable that the SD43 is currently next to impossible. I think Rolex have cut the flow.

No one REALLY knows. However, here's my anecdotal contribution:

My AD knew I was looking for a SD43 so they invited me in to see one in mid-June. It was sold but they let me try it on before the owner picked it up just to make sure I wanted it. Well, I liked it and prepared to wait for the long haul. Got the next one two weeks later.

After two new Rolex purchases and a sizable jewelry purchase, the AD agreed to put me on the waiting list.... Guaranteed delivery by December 2020!
I first thought they were joking and meant this year, they weren't... It's next year.

I have a very good relationship with my AD, recently a Hulk and CHNR but, he couldn’t get me the SD43 so I went grey. Paid 2k over retail. Hope that helps.

Yeah, I got a call on a SD43 in June. Wasn't for me since I have a DSSD and it's similar enough, and there isn't a huge margin on a flip so I wasn't interested in tying up the cash.

its obtainable... still.

Not easy but if you want one you can get it. Might wait a bit which depends on many many factors but you can get one.

A lot of other references, forget about it

Depends on how much business the AD's do. I was told from a high volume AD they got about 12 SD43's last year while smaller AD's have only gotten 1 or 2.

On Company Business and someone said go to this AD and I laughed at him because it was hard to get in 2017. For Sh- n -giggles I walked in and asked if they have it and the salesman said this what your looking for pointing to it on display. CC came out sized and warranty Card in my wallet Box mail back home .

Got one last month from tourneau after waiting 18 months. No prior history or relationship. Just called in every so often to one guy in particular. He was finally able to get me one and said he hasn’t seen one prior to this one in about 5 months.

I got one in 2 months. No previous purchase history.
The AD did ask me a few questions about where I live, and what kind of work I do. I think they just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a one-time transaction. They will be getting much more business from me in the future!

My AD shoots me straight, and usually delivers an accurate ETA on watches I’m interested in. He said he got 1 in 17, 2 in 18, and expects 2-3 this year. I actually bumped into the other guy who got his last year.
A chance meeting led us to the realization that we were shopping the same AD. This led to backing my ADs story, because he mentioned month the other SD was sold.
