It’s disgusting. Do people even love Nautiluses anymore or is it just about making money? Hmmmm

Those are very high across the board. But none the less prices on the 5711/12 are stupid high. I’ve been asked a dozen times to sell mine by multiple dealers for what I considered to Be crazy money. But passed each time.

My buddy next to me at dinner asked if I was looking at rolexes since I am having a good year... I showed him the patek watches. First response. That’s ridiculous...that can’t be true

I have the exact same response and I have been watching these prices rise every month for nearly three years now.

This scenario reminds me when I’m playing baccarat and the Banker/Player has been winning 10+ times in a row...

As much as I wouldn’t mind selling mine and cashing in, what happens if I do and it becomes unattainable in the future =(

I guess I am a victim of the FOMO

The really rich ones... they probably frown on paying MSRP.

The 5990 seems to be one of those watches that either photographs amazingly well under certain lighting conditions, or quite poorly under others.

Its poor lighting here. I’m in the basement...apparently I haven’t eaten enough of the budget... I was asked to order more food

Being rich doesn’t make you an idiot. Usually rich people make it because they don’t do that kind of thing , they save to the last cent.

That’s why I think this is created for a small group of people , just a guess

100% agree.
Maybe these buyers just think it’s going to keep going up. Like the ones who bought bitcoin at 20k+ ....before it tanked.

I bought my 2 5711s and my 5712 at retail and love them dearly.

But opportunity cost provides a compelling reason to sell.

This is not just limited to 11/12, but across almost all Nautilus, Aquanaut and Rolex sports. The world seems to be awashed with liquidity since 3 years back. I noted some members here discussed about social media and celebrities, which may well be the contributing causes. However to me, it just feels like a significant portion of the population has struck lottery or windfall of sorts. I can't really understand where all this liquidity comes from tbh.

I must be hanging out with the wrong crowd! I feel a pinch even paying msrp for something plus sales tax.

If I had a 5711 or 5712 I would undoubtedly sell. I wouldn’t have to think twice. I would postulate you wouldn’t get near those prices but still we all know true market price is crazy high.

If my 5164 gets anywhere close to that I’m selling it and not looking back. I love the watch but not that much. Always something new to buy and let the idiots sort this mess out.

Hmm...maybe with the low unemployment rate in the US there are now a lot more people with the means to purchase these. Supply/Demand dynamics are skewed towards low supply/high demand...

You can literally trade a 5980/1R for a new 5740G AND get money back .

I gave up on mine. Gold Nautis scratch and ding from thin air. I gave up. If anything the 5740g is better. Thinner case!
