Assume 50% ebitda margin. Multiple by 15x which is what this business would likely go for in the current market... this would be about $4bil of value. Just for the sports line.

This is just my back of the envelope funny math.

I’m probably underestimating the remainder of the watch segment... it’s probably worth $4 bil as well. Assuming 40k units at 50-75k on average per watch. With a lower margin and a lower multiple cause no one cares about dress watches...

Like I said it’s just funny math. I do this with birkins and Hermès stock too lol

When I’m bored

I thought I was the only one that did that with Birkin and Kellys lol

on a recent dubai to amsterdam flight my neighbor was an antwerp diamond trader. he said to me: don't invest your money in diamonds. buy one or two to keep the female folks in your family happy but not more.
even PP fares better than diamonds:::)))

I was talking about diamonds at wholesale from the mines. At the retail level man made diamonds is weighing on the stones on the smaller side.

TS does not need to pitch the nautilus to anyone because it sells itself so he pitches the comps.

Why am I telling you this Jorge you already know

Yup

Interested to hear your thoughts. My wife makes me buy her a Birkin each time I buy a watch, never knew leather goods could cost so much; then I started looking in to it!

If my 5164 gets anywhere close to that I’m selling it and not looking back. I love the watch but not that much. Always something new to buy and let the idiots sort this mess out.

My wife was lucky and she hit it off with the sales person at hermes... gave us 3 birkin bags in a 4 month time frame including her grail. Black on gold hardware 30.

She also got a black Constance with platinum hardware.

The key is to really hit it off with the sales person.

But I wouldn’t go crazy buying these bags... it really isn’t that special... the salespeople gets a shipment like once per month.

Only Birkins no Kelly?

That's quite consistent with your Nautilus vs Aquanaut preference.

I am glad to see so many threads about the insane prices. My buddy recently showed me 5164 pricing recently and my eyes popped out of my head! I still wear the watch daily though :)
