5 Digit production run
Are the 5 digit reference the longest production runs for Rolex? Referring to the 16570, 16610, 16600, 16710, in general these references were produced for close to 20 years with only minor changes over the years like lug holes to non lug holes, tritium to luminova, and the addition of SEL.

Yes, 5 digits had really long runs. The 1675 had from the early 60s until almost 1980 or so. The 1601 was around 20 years. The 16610 was 23 ish years, and they really didnt make any changes. Moved to SEL, changed to Luminova like you mentioned, but that was essentially the exact same watch for over 20 years. It always makes me laugh when people talk about "Rare" or " Collector Set" LOL. They made it for 23 years! their are millions of them out there.
