Help with vintage Daytona

Hello everyone!
I currently have a collection of modern watches but i am looking to start collecting vintage!!

I am looking to get a Daytona, i am thinking about the 6263 with grey dial and black bezel.

But i am open to suggestions for other references that you think might go up in value with time!!
I would like to buy something "rare" but not extremely expensive like the PN!!

I have found these Daytonas, i love the 6263, but what do you think of the other ones?!
Which one would you pick?

Sorry I don't know anything about daytonas. But Goodluck in your search. Hopefully somebody else comes along to help you.

There's another thread in the vintage section about daytonas. Somebody posted a link for a guide about the models. There's also a app you can dl. I would link it but im on my phone.Goodluck

Those are all stunning. The second (with black bezel) is probably the most expensive of the group, but is quite beautiful. The dealers are generally up to date with the pricing, so the models that have seen prices at auction tend to be more expensive.

The color is usually referred to as silver, not grey (that might confuse some people - because the modern Daytona models come in a much truer shade of gray).

Choose carefully!

Hi, a good place to start your research is to review recent auction results. Particularly the large sale of Daytona's that took place last November.

Please check out this link and good luck!

If you live in NYC contact Andrew Shear. www.sheartime.com (I have no affiliation with Andrew. He is on the trusted seller list)
He may have some to show you in person. Expect to be in the 30-40K range depending on condition

of those, I'd take the second one, too (6263). I love PN dials best, though - good luck!

I really cannot understand how this piece sold for so much... I understand that it is in perfect conditions... but how did it sell for so MUCH more than other 6263s???

They had a bit of a Daytona frenzy in Geneva that day! Whaky, huh. Rarity… demand...
