What’s the story in the bezel differences in the 16610?

I’ve seen some tritium bezels with this flat 5 and then the vast majority of them with the little serif in the middle of the 5. Was this just a certain run of bezels? Or a specific year?

What’s the story in the bezel differences in the 16610?

16610 was in fabrication for many years (1988 - 2010) and there are multiple bezel inserts, just like on the 16610LV. My S serial (bought new Jan 1995) has a flat 4 as shown below and the 5 does not have the serif yours do have
