GF caught the AP bug!

Funny story, not long ago I got my first AP - the 15400 white. My girlfriend has been with me throughout the journey of countless visits to ADs and trying out lots of watches.

After I’ve mentioned and started searching for a royal oak, she told me that she really like the model (she already has an offshore) with bracelets. Little did I know that she has caught the AP bug.

She’s also been on the lookout for a second watch, but we both always thought that she will go for a Rolex.

Little did I know, a few weeks back she went to LA and tried on a 15450 there by herself and fell in love with it. Shortly after I told her I placed an order on my 15400, she told me she wanted one too. So, we both contacted Beverly Hills and Bal Harbor for availability.
To her luck, she got 3 choices.
15450 blue dial, 15451 blue dial, and a 15451 grey dial. After countless debates and reasonings, she chose the 15451 blue dial and the watch just arrived today!

Another quick shoutout to Jonathan from Bal Harbor, as he came through sourcing the blue 15451 from another boutique.

I would say I’m a little jealous that she got a blue dial (I wanted it first ) and now she has 2 APs.

Anyways here are some pictures :)

PS: What is it with girls and diamonds

Congrats but I hope she doesn't have more APs than you now, or you have to rectify.

Good news is, you can wear the 15451 as it's a man's watch at 37mm, which wears like a Rolex 40mm...the ladies size is actually the 33mm.

My brother got the same watch for his wife from AD couple weeks ago, it's actually smaller than I thought but beautiful watch. The discount given was even better.

She must have wrists likenLebron James ay? AP RO is a dress watch more so than a sports watch, should be worn as a sub 40mm, like the original for a man...women sub 36mm...these oversized watches look obnoxious, unless your wrists are massive.

No, she doesn't. It looked perfect on lady's wrist.
I handled it, it looked small to me.

Yeah your perception is a bit off, you've likely worn a few 41+mm watches and that's skewing things. AP RO cases wear bigger than say a Rolex, or Omega.

Look, we've all heard your views on watch sizes and we have ALL rejected them, so please just give it up and grow up or just go away.

Since when has a RO been a dress watch? It’s 100% a sports watch, albeit a very versatile one.

*sigh*, you again, can't help yourself, can you? Just cause I touched a nerve with you about your need to show off massive watches to compensate for areas you're inadequate doesn't mean you need to follow me around to try and counter my argument where ever it's made...go away, go post on the oversized section..

This x2. There is no way I would ever fit or wear the 15451. It looks perfect on my girl’s hand as well. And she does not have Lebron James hands wtf HAHA

Ah you again! No, she doesn’t have wrists like Lebron James. You keep commenting on people’s appearance based on your “watches should be this size” lmao. There are no rules to what size people should wear, who are you? The creator of all watches? Did you pay for our watches?
I think you’re just pretentious with a snobby attitude that sadly has pussy wrist sizes and can’t enjoy anything above 40mm.
Get a life dude. People come to this forum to share their love and passion for watches.

Congratulations to your girlfriend she really knows her stuff. That piece is fuego.

Seek3r should be banned. He’s hurling insults left and right and clearly doesn’t know his @$$ from a hole in the ground.

Agreed! Please just stop with the oversized comments.. might have been acceptable once or twice to display your personal preference but after a while it gets old and annoying

I think you've managed to piss off quite of few folks here in a short period of time with your comments. Get over your wrist size complex for god sake.
