You can only have one: Pepsi GMT vs DayC

What’s happening ladies and gents!

Let me hear your thoughts. You get to choose one: Pepsi Gmt or the 116500 Daytona.

Can’t wait to hear your take! Have a great weekend.

Rolex makes the best GMTs out there. Great, classic design. The Red and Blue bezel pops. Highly legible dial. Just looks great in any situation. From shorts, to jeans, to a suit. Fantastic history. Great movement.

I can see it. I can also see the Daytona being fantastic under any sartorial situation as well.

116500 unless you are talking about a white gold Pepsi.

The Daytona is far less effective at its tool watch function than the Pepsi. It wears very comfortably on the wrist. But lacks the wrist presence of the BLRO. The dial is more difficult to read. It lacks a date. And for me, the GMT function itself is far more useful than the Chrono function. Finally, there are better chronos out there. For me, there is not a better GMT out there.

BLRO. Seems like I'm in the minority.

Depends on which Pepsi. I would pick a full set 1675 Pepsi over the Daytona C, but if you are taking about ceramic GMT then no doubt the Daytona C wins.

Though couldn’t we argue the Daytona is more elusive, more iconic, and will most likely remain a high value piece for decades to come?

The Daytona is as iconic as the Pepsi. I think both are hard to find. I don't really care about the value that much, but I suspect the Daytona will hold its value somewhat better unless Rolex comes out with a better designed version.

Is this a real question? Get a Daytona. Worst case sell it and buy a Pepsi from a grey and pick a few thousand.

If it's one of the two, but I could have others, Pepsi all day.

If it's one watch period, Daytona for sure.

Whatever you can get your hand on at the AD, chance is small so often enough you don't have a choice...Good luck!

Daytona. It wears more comfortably to me and I rarely see them in the wild. I just wish the hype surrounding them didn't exist.
