There are so many things wrong with it, as mentioned above. You say the authenticity was called into question. Looks like it was, with good reason. Go back to the dealer that sold it to you and ask them to verify it is genuine and explain how they know.

Or (better yet) take to a Rolex AD and have them check it. Then, when the “dealer” you bought it from says it’s genuine, you can explain that Rolex told you it is not authentic. Good luck.

Better to confirm authenticity before buying, not after.

If I sent someone an imgur link of it would they be able to post it for me? It only lets you do links after you have 10 posts.

Thank you all for dealing with a new member and providing your expertise. Shocking to the system to hear, but much appreciate spending your time looking at it.

I bought it almost 10 years ago, and there’s no dealer where I live now. I did have it cleaned and serviced by a Rolex dealer when I was in Vancouver and he confirmed it was a Rolex before he would work on it. That’s why I’m so confused.

Rolex authenticity question: updated with photo in thread

Here’s a couple pictures from the OP that are a little better. I’m not near knowledgeable enough to pass judgement though there are some areas of concern that I see.

From looking at those pics as well as the one you sent me, I can say with 100% certainty that this is a fake. Sorry...

The watch is a counterfeit.

I am skeptical about the story of the AD purchase, and that's being kind.

Look at the '6 hour marker! That's just laughable!

Small children should not see this fake as it's so freakin' bad. One of worst pieces of sh*t I've seen in a long time.

Agreed, although, in his defense, I’m not sure he meant “authorized dealer” when he said “dealer”.

Nonsense. This watch is a very poor quality fake, you could not have had this serviced at all, anywhere. No self respecting watchmaker would work on that never mind a Rolex dealer.. ffs.

Ok thank you. It may have been a Rolex service dealership, now I’m doubting everything. Appreciate your time folks.

You can tell so easily it's such a crap fake even from the crap photo.

The OP knows it's fake, just testing it here to see if it would pass the "looks like a decent copy" test before he shows it off to his mates.

Apologies if this isn’t the kind of post you’re supposed to make in this forum. The first photo quality was because it kept telling me my photos were too large. Like I said, I’m grateful for the help and appreciate your feedback. Cheers to all from Canada :)

{I’m fairly upset by the possibility that it is not real, and I’m trying to keep a stiff upper lip about the whole thing} The fact we don’t have a dealer in my town is very frustrating when I’d still like someone to confirm in person just for my own piece of mind (at least try not to argue as I have no idea how I ended up with a fake one, and I’m trying to figure it out. I’m making up elaborate stories in my head of it being switched by a former roommate or something? I don’t know, I’m just fairly upset}
