Hi Guys,

a mid-eastern guys tried to rob my Rolex this morning during a trade in Potts Point. He took the watch from my wrist and tried to run away. Luckily he tripped over and I got him. The buckles are broken and a few dents on the side of dial plus I got 5 punches in my head while I neck locked him.
He specifically asked to meet under CCTV and that way the seller would be less careful. His number is 0405 582 204.

I am going to take the Sub two tone bluesy back from local police station as they took it for DNA check. Now the question is most likely I'm taking it to service centre for a polish and repair of the buckle only. The buckle and the two thin steel parts were stretched during wrestling with the guy. More sure if they do polish and repair of buckle only though.

I tried to call RSC but couldnt reach. will keep trying.

Also, if it was me i would have broken the camera before you got there since he picked the spot. Good luck though

gumtree is awful. No normal people seem to use it. When we moved from London my wife insisted on listing all our crap we weren't bringing. Then they came to the house (no big deal because it was basically empty and we were on our way out) but every single person was sketchy. I have no idea where they all came from as i never saw sketchy people day to day but they were all at our house at once pretty much

Looks like a little chunk out of the side the case, never had that repair done but I'm sure they can do a pretty good job.

If I was ever going to arrange a trade (without the help of a dealer with double locked doors) it'd be in a bank, and you facing him, so he needs to go past you if he tries to run away. Post up a mate nearby in the bank so he's not aware it is your mate. Only way nowadays with these scum-like types.

Wow sorry to hear that, but at least you got it back. I hope that guy gets hit by a bus.

Hard to tell from your pics what needs to be done, but if theres a big gash or chunk taken out, you'll need to find a good place that can laser weld it.
