116500 for 116655?

Have a thing for the 116655 and have for quite some time. Don't know how many modern Rolex I need, but would I be nuts to trade a Black 116500 for a 116655 plus some cash my way?

I wouldn't do it but I love my 500C. If you are going to go for it then get the 126655 with the new movement and glide lock clasp

I personally would not but, if you feel you must, who am I to stop you...

I would do that now. PM > SS.

I think you keep both. The Daytona is just an iconic irreplaceable watch. Unless, you don’t like or never liked.

That YM is gorgeous. Buy it if you are able too.

How long have you had the 116500? What’s been your experience wearing it?

If you are willing to consider trading the 116500, then it might mean that you like the 116655 more now. Though I would probably keep the Daytona and save up for the YM OF, but if you really must, I say go for it.

Simple answer. No. The Daytona is such an iconic piece plus the YM is not close as hot and it’s PM. Just my 2 cents.

If you don’t really like the Daytona and bought it for the hype (which is a legit position to have), it’s a valid strategy to cash out and get what you like.

If you like the Daytona, it’d likely be more expensive to get back into if you ever wanted to, after you tire of the YM (which many seem to do, don’t really know why).

I have a 116500 and a 116655, and I don't think you would be nuts because the 116655 is great. You should be getting a few grand back on your end. The only issue is the 500 will be very hard to get again unless you can get over the "am I really gonna pay that grey market price" dilemma.

If you paid MSRP for the 116500 trading it for a PM watch is a win win situation.
But do you like the OF bracelet as well? Because that would be a deal breaker for me as I don't like the OF bracelet.

I would in a heartbeat. Especially if you bought the daytona at retail, youre getting a PM watch plus some cash in your pocket at the price of a SS piece.
