I want to say the explorer, but I can’t stop staring at the simplic beauty of the dial on that OP

Explorer. More interesting dial. Less expensive than the DJ. No PCL’s to get scratched up. I may also be in the minority here, but in this era of cell phones and computers I never look at my watch wondering what day of the month it is.

Sorry, I said cheaper than the DJ not realizing it was the DJ36 and basically the same price. Both are beautiful watches. If you have an opportunity to try them both on, that would help.

DJ36 is better. I just think the bigger watches have too much blank space and don't look balanced. I looked at both 36 and 39 mm Explorers and ultimately went with the 36

Datejust is THE classic. Oyster bracelet makes it even better. Everyone should have one!

I would go with the Explorer. If I were to get a DJ 41, it would not be the black dial.

One and only :
First choice ; Explorer Second choice ; DJ41, fluted bezel. An explorer 36mm with smooth bezel looks like an old explorer with a date.

My choice is the OP 39 forg its simplicity. It can be worn day and night. While you’re at it, check out the classic sized OP36 as well. It wears well also if you have a smaller wrist.
Peace! |

I think the OP is the better looking watch...but I agree with others that the lack of an easy link is a strike against it.
So...toss up for me. |

Explorer, I think it is more versatile and can be dressed up for dressed down. Very cool watch.

All of these three watches are great options, but Explorer gets my vote.
