Bit of a sideways question, stemming from the question of wether you got it AD or Grey market. What is Rolex, aswell as other brands i suppose opinion of the grey market?

As someone who dosent fully understand the intricacies of the watch economy. On the face of it i just cant understand how Rolex can be happy with a grey market dealer selling a SS Daytona for 17K+ brand new when there list is what, £9.5k

Congrats.
I love how it looks in the board room and while having cocktails! With the current shortage,
Really good bang for your buck on this model if you buy pre-owned.

What is awesome is The AD we buy from has 3 locations. We went today bought my watch and a Chanel watch for my wife. The Owner of all stores came in. My sales guy and the store manager said this is the big boss and introduced us which was really cool because the store was busy and we were the only ones that met the owner. He showed him my wife’s root beer and ring because we have been talking
About going from a 5 carat to larger. They took a photo of my wife’s watch and ring and said they really liked seeing us wear it because they worry so much watches leave and end up with flippers. The owner walked out and came back in to talk to the manager for a minute. The store manager then came back over and said who knows maybe one of your orders will come in next week. We have only spent 60k total including the 20k today but that is 60k in 2.5 months on 6 watches. I think today was perfect timing for us to walk in meet the owner and let him place an eye on us. This is when I told my wife no more Ad games. I will not walk into another AD period. This is my only store these guys have never jerked me around. They have not asked me to buy anything extra so I truly believe they will get me all the pieces I desire. By going to other branch locations and asking about watches it makes me look stupid and un loyal. In the meantime I’m going to enjoy the heck out of my new sub. Be patient wait for my other pieces. Stop being so damn impatient. Sorry for typos guys. Typing off the old iPhone.
