AP 15450ST Concerns?

I’ve had a 15300 before and kinda regret selling it. However the bracelet always felt a tad too wide for my 6,3” wrist. Been researching about this 15450 but had some fears that it would be too small, bracelet too dainty, hard hit on the resale value bla bla bla. Today I pulled the trigger on a white dialed 15450st. It is none of what I feared it would be. It is not too small and bracelet fit was amazing. It wears almost like my 39mm explorer 1. So you folks who has been considering this size but had fears and concerns, dont worry. This 15450 is a timeless piece done right. Unless of course you’re 7 foot tall with 7” wrist. But yea I’ll post some pics that hopefully might enable some of you to grab one too.

congrats. It fits and thats all that matters. I also think it wears like a 39mm watch or even a 40mm Patek.

A 15450 that fits looks way better than a 15400 that doesn't.

Actually there were plenty of “my wife got that too” and “looks good on my wife” comments that made doubt the size at first. And I’ve handled the pne with diamond bezel which I thoight was very feminine and small. But all doubts went away once I held the 15450st in the metal.

it was too big for my wife. She tried it, so there you go. She is looking at a 33mm now.

End of the day, watch size really comes down to personal preference. I’ve seen big guys wear 36 and physically challenged guys wear 48. From your pics, I think you can easily pull off a 39 if you wanted to. As long as you luv it, is all that matters:)

It looks fantastic. It's too bad the 15450 gets incorrectly cast as a "ladies' AP". As you mentioned, the '450 fits more like a 39mm. Enjoy!

It looks great. Concur with everyone, a 15450 looks perfect when it fits. It's too wrongfully cast as the Ladies AP when all the previous generations have not been 14970 or 4100.

It fits the same as Sub imo.

I would love to add a silver dial 15450 to my collection. I think it's a great size watch for my wrist. Only thing stopping me is I want to try other brands since I already have a 39mm AP.

It looks great on you OP. Congratulations.

It looks excellent on you. Congratulations and enjoy!

The 37mm is a good size. I used to wear a 14790, which was 36mm and miss it very much. I tried on the 37mm RG today and was very much taken aback by how good it looked on my wrist.

Congrats and thanks for posting this.
Had the same dilemma and never pulled the trigger on either the 37 or 41. The 15450 looks perfect on you.

Where did you find that? Is that a 15300OR?

Ah I also worried the dial would be to blingy silverish. But in person it looks bright silver and definitely the right amount of shine.

Congrats! AP Tappiserie Silver dial is really something. I tried on the 15450 but unfortunately feels it's too small for me. On the other hand the 41mm feels too big ( Used to own it ). For Royal Oak 3-hands watch without complication, I still find the 39mm to be the best size.

I agree and wuz thinking to sell my 10-months old 15400 and add 10k usd for 15202. Is it really worth doing? For that price, I can get a 5711 which shouldn’t be a problem as I know them quite well.

A great choice, it fits beautifully.
I smile when I read threads asking whether watches fit? They are usually accompanied by photographs of watches truly swamping the wrist. Most replies encourage the purchase and tell them that it fits when (to my eye it is not even close to being a good fit) it doesn't.
For 40+ years the CEOs big watch of choice was the very manly (and large) 36mm Day Date!

Case in point, look at my recent incoming thread for a 44mm. Lots of people said it looked fine, but a few people were honest enough to say it looked foolish on me. I agreed with the latter group and sold it off.
