5164 > 15202 > 5167.

Clearly it is a massively personal decision based on what pieces sing to you. I don't have any of the three. the 5164 is on my wish list, but neither of the other two are.

I like the 5164 but can't get rid of the blnr bc of sentimental reasons. So don't really need two gmt. And I can't justify the extra 10k price. That's almost a 15400!

Fair enough, if it wasn't sentimental then you know what to do.

Wow you're story sounds a lot like what went through my head 3 months ago.

I was in a similar boat deciding between the 5167 and 15202. I also have a BLNR and even though everyone recommended me flip it, I just can't due to sentimental reasons.

Long story short, I went with the 15202 because it is getting harder and harder to find. The provenance as the steel watch that started the whole steel priced higher than gold is pretty cool. Not to mention the legendary 2121 movement which was used by all the holy trinity.

Hopefully I can grab a 5167 in the fall and together they would be all I need!

The BLNR is a great watch - doubly so when it has sentimental value.

With the 5164 out, i prefer the 15202 (though we're splitting hairs a bit here...all are great!)

I think the 15202 is a much nicer watch.

To me, it's the 15202 no contest. The dial and bracelet are simply special on this piece. I would probably get that one first, then a 5164.

I'd go with 15202. I never cared for the aquanaut to be honest. I like it more with the twin time function, but then it's very expensive. Definitely wouldn't choose a regular aquanaut over the 15202.

I'd probably go with a regular diver in steel over the regular aquanaut any day of the week.

Is list too much to pay for the jumbo or is that standard. I guess if it's boutique there's no negotiating...but at least has a 5 yr warranty
I think a lot of it comes down to rubber strap vs. bracelet. The fit and finish of both seems on a very similar level.

For the 5167. it's a great entry to Patek since you have the identical movement as a 5711...basically you get a price break due to the rubber strap.

The 15202 I think basically has the same level of finish as the much cheaper 15400, so you really are paying for the movement.

As for price discounts, I'm not the best person to ask.

Before I would have told you of course 15202, but I suppose I wouldn't like it in real, same as my 15300, so for me 5167, but if you love the RO it's probably the best choice, a really iconic watch, though I would choose 5712 or 5711 in first place

It's tough, I love the rubber because it's completely under the radar at work, but I like the AP for the opposite reason with its bracelet and finishing for when I'm outside of the office.

Arnaud - I feel like I was with you on not POSSIBLY not liking it in the flesh, however I made it to a boutique and they had one in...but couldnt sell me so I tried it on and I liked it FAR more than I thought I would. Looking at pics online don;t do the piece justice. It's so slim, light, and feels like it molds to the wrist...and it wasnt even fitted for mine

Basically comes down to which one I'll pick up first because it's inevitable I'll get both. There's a 5k price difference between the two as well. The AP would be from the boutique so I'd get the 5yr warranty as well. IS there any other swag I might be able to get from them or anything else that might make the decision easier?
