When I was 13 and growing up in Manhattan, I got to see Gary Lewis and the Playboys rehearse for a Hullabaloo show. Dad, Jerry, was there to make certain everything went well for his son. I still remember him in faded blue jeans and a work shirt. This was in '65. I liked him and felt something personal towards him from that moment on. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing.
