Does this Datejust dial look ok?

Hey, I’m considering buying this Datejust and wanted to check with you if anything jumps out on this dial. I’m just getting into vintage, so I’m not sure the peeling on a few letters is common or the very dark plots. I’m liking the watch, but wanted to get your thoughts. Thanks!

Thanks, it's a 16014. Good call on replacing if I need to. I like that it's original, but at the same time, it's a good option to have.

Guessing it's a early 70s with a t swiss t footer 1601/1603 (edit- just seen you posted 16014 which is unusual as typically this has same size HR markers) - missing writing and dark lumeplots aren't great. Personally I'm not keen on the 'blob of mercury' style oversized and chamfered 6 and 9 hour markers, buts that me only probably.

The dials are cheap to replace (from £300) though should you want too.

What's printed on the dial beneath the 6 HR marker please as photo doesn't show.

Yes, you will be fine. Hopefully the price is right.

Cool. I still have to option to return, so I'm thinking if it's worth it. The case is unpolished, and the bracelet is in amazing shape. Watch was also recently serviced with 18 month warranty. So, it's really "just" the dial. but I guess I can also wear it like this for a while and switch it out during a future service. I don't mind the look so much. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't buying a disaster of a dial.

Suggest you put up the engravings between lugs ends just so the DJ experts (like dan and ttg) can confirm it's ok and also the 62510h clasp engravings and end links then you are golden - the dial is not too big a deal if all else is well of course. DJ prices are soft in UK from £3250 with a Jubilee for a ref point.
