I love my 114060 and my 116520, and always will. But close minded brand loyalty is not my thing either OP, and there are so many amazing watches out there to experience, enjoy, and make memories with. Loving my newest edition, Royal Oak 15500ST. It will live in harmony right along side my favorite Rolex and other pieces :)

WOW that gray dial is amazing!!

I've been a Rolex guy, and was looking at 18k for a Pepsi or 24k for a Daytona, and at that price I thought I might as well look at at 15500st. Took a couple months, but got my blue dial and I love it. If it weren't for the crazy Rolex market, I probably would have never stepped up to AP given the big different in retail prices from Rolex. But now that Rolex secondary prices are approaching AP retail, its a no brainer to me. The AP is worth 20k, those Rolex's, no way.

you sound like me. Gave up on a Daytona and figured for 25k I can get a blue dial 26331ST with a short wait at a boutique.

Congrats! I’ve had this one for over 5 years and the AP RO is something special for sure.

it bugs me out how I love my 15400 dial more than the 15500, but whenever I see that movement, makes me change my mind a bit

Great choice, and maybe we got lucky because we have one of two company owned boutiques in our backyard with amazing people working there!

Great thread. After six year relationship with my AD, I am now starting to get pushback on a SkyDweller that is a 2 year waitlist. I am now forced to look at other things. Pretty annoying. Went on vacation to Europe and Africa and now getting my first YG 1990 Royal Oak 36mm. I normally don’t play vintage but this one was beautiful and at a decent price - 40% cost of the MSRP of a new gold version.
