New Member - Azzurro Blue

This weekend was the weekend I joined the Rolex club! I wanted to mark 2019 as a special year for numerous reasons and I’ve been a watch fan since I was in my early teens, the bug hasn’t left me yet so what better way to do it.

After much deliberation between 36mm and 41mm I settled on the ‘plain’ DJ41 combo of smooth bezel and oyster bracelet. My hope is this will play the hybrid smart/casual role perfectly.

I couldn’t be happier with the watch, the blue really changes depending on the light. Next to my blue Seamaster it has a vividness to it that makes it ‘pop’.

My local AD was excellent throughout. The watch wasn’t on display so I’m grateful that they bought it to my attention and offered me a look at it. Based on what I’ve read here I should see this as the start of what is hopefully a long relationship with them.

I’ll be sticking around on the forums ogling your photos and looking for inspiration for my next purchase!

Congratulations! That blue is stunning in person and I think your “plain” combination (which I believe isn’t plain at all) is a great choice. Wear it in great health.

Fantastic! Congrats!

On the white outer sleeve does it say azzurro next to the reference number?

No, it’s OYSTER M SAP39139... if that means anything?

Big Congrats to you! That's badazz. I agree and have a 41 S/O as well. That's probably the best blue color on a dial. I'm a roman fan as well. I love it.. Welcome to TRF. Enjoy!!...

It’s the most amazing blue Rolex offers. That, coupled with Romans, beautiful.

I saw the azzurro roman dial at my AD about a week ago - what a stunner! I'm not a fan of the blue stick dial used on the DJ but that azzurro roman dial is beautiful.
