AP Royal Oak 15500ST grey dial - Review, first impression and wristshot on 6.5”/16.5c

Hi all,

In this video, I take a look at the newly released AP Royal Oak 15500. Th w video features macro shots and up close clips of the watch with a bit of history of Royal Oak and the changes introduced in this new generation from the outgoing reference 15400.

Enjoy and let me know if you have any queries.

P.S: I thought I had posted the link here already - apologies for the late post.

You’ve definitely captured the beauty of the grey dial version. Is there meant to be sound?

It definitely does have the sound but just not in the beginning of the video.

Beautiful video of this watch. I will hopefully get one. I think a small seconds subdial in the bottom half of the dial would make it perfect. Maybe in the future....

A tremendous video, thank you!

Beautiful camera work and thoughtful commentary.

I agree, the removal of Automatic leaves a void both visually and conceptually.

Looking forward to a 15300 solo video.

That looks great! Looks perfect on a 6.5" wrist.

I'll need to try this out in person

It certainly is. Camera still limits how stunning it is in flesh. That’s the least in video compared to what it is.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s.p a big watch. It just works perfectly on my tiny wrist. Do give it a try

Good imagination. Although it would make sense but it would take the design too far away from Royal Oak. But then again, the origins, Royal Oak really is 39mm 15202 :)

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback - really appreciate it. I was thinking about doing 15300 solo video but then I got confused as to whether will anyone be actually wanting to see it as it’s been long discontinued. I thoroughly love it though and I think I’ll just do it for the love of 39mm AP. :)

That’s something I’m going to cover in my next video where I’m comparing it with 15400. Stay tuned
