Opinions needed on a 16000

Hi
I’ve been offered this white dialed 16000 by a trusted seller I’ve already bought from (well, he can be trusted but his vintage Rolex knowledge is limited). This watch is from 82, full set to the original bill and comes from the 1st owner’s heir. It apparently wasn’t worn much...

Does it seem all original from these pictures? I couldn’t find many examples of white field with non-Roman numbers so hard to compare...
This model wasn’t in my wish list but I find it quite nice and I like its provenance!
Thanks

Looks like a very nice full set with a fat case. With all that provenance, paperwork, original receipt, guarantee paper, matching tritium patina on the hands and dial, and coming from the original owner's family .... seems to be what it's said to be.

Any service history? Does the date wheel have open 6s and 9s? And what's the asking price?

Very good example!

The million dollar question is: how much?

Thanks for your comments! I asked about service history and date wheel’s 6 and 9s

The seller asks 4600€...

I understand that includes a substantial premium for the papers and accessories, and I appreciate that it can be fun to have full sets. However, I think you really need to love the watch, first and foremost. For me, that particular flat, white dial is not particularly appealing compared to many other vintage DJ set-ups, it is about as utilitarian as it gets. So I would be hard-pressed to pay that much for it. Of course, others will say that it's classic, understated, and elegant.

I think the price is at the top end for this model. Nice example, but personally I wouldn’t want to pay that much......unless it was something I was really looking for and then it might be worth paying a premium.

Agree with above, too expensive for what it is, although prices are climbing and it might look like a good deal in a couple of years. You're also in Europe, which is always more expensive. Maybe offer 3800 Euros?

As plentiful as DJs are, full sets from original owners like this are tough to come by, and this one appears to be in great shape with a nice full case, which is also quite rare for vintage DJs. (They almost always seem to be overly polished, probably because they were more like dress watches.)

I like it, just not for that price.

Hmmmm. That is expensive.
A brand new DJ36 is around 5800E.

If there is no service history....it is really expensive.
I would ask also about the stretch on the bracelet.

Plexi needs replacement if you wanna have that dial pop.

Thanks!
Open 6s and 9s
Only one known service, by Rolex, in 2011 without polishing

Looks very nice.

You might look back five years from now and think what a great bargain the price was. I would make an offer and get it if you're feeling it. They're not making these anymore, and finding one in great condition with full box and papers is quite a chance.

See lots of dj sell for 4500 lately. Dealers prices. So one in good condition w/ all paperwork is around that price these days.
