Happy with the RubberB I use on my YM1 during the summer months. It does make the watch more under the radar, I disagree that it would make it look like a knockoff, considering fakes attempt to resemble OEM as much as possible. I also sail with my YM, don't care what people think of my watch, and beat the hell out of it - so certainly not a perfectionist.

fwiw Everest provided a refund, but I had to eat return shipping.

Would i buy one again? no... i sold the deepsea and now leave my watches factory... if im in the mood for wearing a rubber watch ill throw in my Seiko or my Sinn

Yup I was not happy.

Though I did get them to organise international DHL pickup from here in the UK so I wasnt out of pocket either way for shipping.

I thought of that and stress tested the hell out of it first. Bending back and forward to extreme and pulling it apart while secured with the buckle and it was 100% fine.

You should look at the chunky Panerai style one I have on my Tudor it was $10 too and its a BEAST! So price doesnt really matter.

I had one experience with this watch strap.

It was very positive. I would do again in a heartbeat.

Just installed an Everest deployant-type strap on my LN, 5 minute install, perfect fit, love it.

I previously bought a Rubber B but returned it, not due to quality issues but at the time I still loved the steel bracelet and wanted to swap back and forth fairly often based on whim, but I found it a PITA to remove the steel one, easy to scratch the underside of the lugs.

Here we are a few months later and I have fallen out of love with the chrome center links so decided to try Everest as their straps are more streamlined than the Rubber B.

When I want the steel look I'll wear my Explorer! Mind you I have gotten good at removing the Rolex bracelet so may end up swapping back and forth once in awhile anyway.

So long story short, Everest for me has been a good news story. Expensive though, overpriced for 5" of rubber strips, but then ago so are the watches.

Everest was perfect for me also. I think this was a one time qc issue. I do know some people have used the wrong thickness of spring bars this effects the fit also.

Direct quote from someone who works at Rubber B:

"You will notice the words "Swiss Made" in the rubber are missing in all other brands you might be considering, who secretly manufacture their rubber straps in China while using deceptive advertising."

Just thought I'd share since I'm on the verge of purchasing a rubber strap from Rubber B. Though he doesn't directly call it out, he's talking about Everest.

I know this is an old thread but I received this week the Everest rubber strap for my sub c and I can't complain about the look, feel and quality. I'm very happy with the fit, it's perfect, completely different experience than the OP.

I'm not saying they are not over priced but it's really a good product I don't care where it was made really.

I also like the Rubber B that I got for my Tudor Hydronaut too, very cool.

The difference between my RubberB and my new Everest band are unbelievable. I have no affiliation with either- just my personal experience.

The quality difference in how they feel and are finished and fit the watch is immediately obvious.

I was so disappointed with my $250 Everest strap that I went to return it immediately as in, the day I opened it. BUT--- no return, I missed the one week cutoff by a SINGLE DAY and they refused to honor it.

Usually crap products are supported by crap people- Everest whore-ology most certainly has earned my regards this way.

really complete and nice review! love rubber straps and i personally always buy from Tempomat. they have some models in regular rubber and others in FKM vulcanized but both of them are very good priced.

hope it helps also in case any one is on search of any straps!
