Is this vintage box authentic?

Does this 67.00.3 look authentic?

Is this vintage box real?

Out of curiosity, which ref would have come in this box? Versus the silk lined version I sometimes see.

I believe sports models like the 1680 often came in this box in the early 70s.

My ‘70 1680 has this box. But it’s not in as pristine condition as this one! Pretty sure 1675s of the same vintage came with this box too.

I have another 67.00.3 box that came with my 1969 1680. It’s a bit more beat up with different appearing interior wood, and its slightly larger in size. I’ve read that there are different variations in this model box.

Interesting. Just based on the photos, colour of my box looks more like the lighter one on the left.

It's just a standard 1960s box design, which would have contained many different models. My Datejust was sold in 1968 and came in something very similar.

I’ve heard that ADs (1970s-90s) had a lot of latitude and discretion with which style of Rolex box they sold a watch in. Does this sound right ?

Does that one have the bevel on the back of the top? That's another style I've seen. Hard to tell from the photos.

No, it curves like the others.
