Steve Kipol - banned ‘member’ phishing
Got this message ..... on a watch that had been marked as sold no less.
[QUOTE=Steve.Kipol]Hello Seller, Am interested in your watch. Please send me a direct message to sweenmachn@gmail.com for quick reply Once again a great reason not to reply to email requests at least until a good relationship and some trust has been established. Curiously, when I do a member search using “Steve.Kipol” forum says no such member. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I also got the same message today but I knew it was another spam/scammer/evil demon clown so I didn't answer.

I got an email as well from him that said he was buying my watch as a birthday present and that he had a link of watches that he would like to trade. I was not aware of him until I just read this. Thanks TRF.

steve kipol
I received an email from this name today saying same; he was going to buy one of the watches I have posted for sale and asked if I was interested in one of his for a trade. Being dumb I clicked on the link.

Don’t put your email addresses in the for sale or wanted to buy posts. Better to let potential buyers contact you via PM. Otherwise you might as well post on Craigslist or chronocentric.

Got an email from him as well. Same birthday gift to himself message. Seemed a bit flaky on the correspondence, so I figured it was a bit suspicious, but he did manage to get my paypal address (no biggie- he can sent money if he wants!).

You need to be careful with that too. He might "accidentally" send you money and ask you to return it to a different address. This is the old trick of using your name and address scamming someone else and have you to take the blame when the buyer never received the goods he paid "you" for.
