Incoming Speedy Pro

Just received my Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, arrived a day late due to being sent to the wrong delivery office but thankfully arrived safely.

Fantastic looking watch that wears so much smaller than the 42mm case diameter suggests.

My only regret is I didn't buy it years ago.

Right, I'm now off to search for straps

Looks great. Did you buy that new? Was it direct from Omega?

I was reading your previous posts, I wasn't really looking that hard but I think I got quite a decent deal that I didn't want to pass up on.

Well worth picking one up in the future if you can

The professional is definitely starting to grow on me. I had a reduced for a few months a few years ago that had a bunch of issues that turned me off to it so I flipped it pretty quickly. Don't think the 42mm size of the pro would work well on my 6.5 wrist unfortunately.

May be worth trying on. I have a 6.75" wrist and it wears quite comfortably. I've also got a huge Planet Ocean Chrono. No lug overhang at 45mm, though of course it sits very tall. Omega has nice short lugs relative to the case diameters I've found.

I think you'd be surprised, it definitely wears a lot smaller than the 42mm diameter suggests.

Well worth trying it on

I have a 6.5 inch wrist and lug to lug is Just about the same as a 40mm sub. The 42mm really has more to do with the crown guards. It’s also not a flashy watch in the conventional sense and the proportions are pretty much the same since 1969. Something about the vintage look of the watch which makes it fit far better than you might expect.

Congratulations again

3 weeks yesterday until my contract up & not heard yet if getting renewed or not or I’d have had one. I saw beaverbrooks undercut the others by a few %.

.
I figured out why the 42mm Speedmaster wears so well for such a "big watch"
