FS: "The Rolex Report", Revised and Expanded 4th Edition, by John E. Brozek

For sale, one original copy of "The Rolex Report", Revised and Expanded 4th Edition, by John E. Brozek, Copyright 2002. This is the last published edition of this book. Several years ago, the publisher's website, InfoQuest Publishing, announced that a new, 5th Edition, would be released in 2016; however, that never occurred and my online inquiries since 2016 have failed to reveal anything indicating that an updated edition exists or is in the works.

The Rolex Report, 4th Edition, is considered by many an absolute must-read or must-consult for any vintage Rolex enthusiast, collector, prospective purchaser or seller. Indeed, it might be a mistake to even consider acquiring a vintage sports or dress Rolex without first checking up on it in this incredible resource...in order to avoid painful counterfeit disappointments or losses due to over- or under-valuation.

This book is purported to be the result of over a decade of research by the author, and contains almost 300 pages of facts and figures with over 400 high-resolution illustrations. Included are a chronological history of the Rolex Watch Company; an examination of most of the vintage Rolex models in production through to the book's publication year (2002); a guide to identifying hundreds of Rolex parts and accessories; and a unique resource for spotting counterfeit Rolex watches and boxes. A glance at the "Contents" pages (pictured below) will give you an excellent indication of the extent of the book's coverage.

It would be difficult to imagine such a reference source not being a part of the arsenal of any auctioneer, pawn shop, or other seller of vintage Rolexes, even private sellers. One of the testimonials on the back cover comes from the owner of a number of pawn shops in California, who states: “…I consider this ‘required reading’ for all of my employees”.

While not brand new, this book is in as close to new condition as you'll likely find (and it is not easy to find it in this condition, especially at my asking). The pages are clean -- the yellow hue in the photos is just the indoor lighting -- and completely unmarked and untorn; the corners are not dog-eared; and even the spine on the side of the book is uncracked…evidence that this book was barely opened. The only reason I am selling is that it is one of two that I own -- and the first, certainly well-used, will remain with me.

Yours for $135 USD (firm) shipped anywhere within the CONUS or Canada. Offers below my firm asking will be politely ignored. Payment by Paypal if in the U.S. or by EMT if in Canada. Any questions, just message me through the forum.
