After 9 months...

My 312M arrived back from the PSC. Having bought new in Feb 2011, on day three I dropped it.. Nice flat lug and damaged lug button.

So off it goes to Dubai, then to Switzerland, back to Saudi - and yes, they didnt fix the lug damage. Now, I didn't think they could but they told me they would. So this was what I was expecting.

One tantrum later and off it goes back to Dubai for a full case replacement - courtesy of Panerai (thank you very much ).

Got it back yesterday - basically a new watch. I was so happy I bought a new JV nubuck as a chrissy present

Thanks again to Panerai boutique Riyadh, very understanding, very patient and excellent service.

Photos this weekend.

Man you got lucky. I had a friend who dropped his Luminor - not once but twice. The crown guard got a flat spot and the lugs got a slight dent. He took it to Panerai to get it fixed - which he had to pay for, but they replaced the crown guard and did some polishing work on the lugs - looks almost good as new - but not a free case replacement. Congrats on getting it back...now be careful of not dropping it again.... Cheers.

9 months is a pretty long wait. glad you got your watch back with a brand new case though the standard warranty does not cover accidental damage.

9 months.....WOW! well, with the apparent service center issues, good to see OP trying to make it "right" with a new case.

Thanks guys. During the wait I was wearing a speedy pro - great watch.

Yes, OP were stand up - they acknowledged the error in guaranteeing the damage would be remediated, so the new case was a very nice gesture. I'm sure the 9 month wait also contributed in their decision.

Congratulations, wear it in good health.
I would imagine the agent in Riyadh would do their best as they newly acquired the agency and will be opening soon in Jeddah

Cheers,
K
