Well said, hard not to agree!

Totally agree with this. Legendary English football manager Brian Clough (RIP) once said that if you stop the other team scoring, you can't lose. That applies in pretty much any sport.

Well Man Utd did that for much of the season and still we drew most games... have to be able to score at the other end too, or just more than anyone else, Fergie had it right.

Huge Broncos fan , but Payton didn't win the Super Bowl. He just didn't lose it. Denver's D won that championship.

Can't argue that

But you could say Cam Newton did lose it...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but football is a team sport and Peyton Manning and the Bronco defense are on the same team.

The respective defensive teams were tough on both quarterbacks.

Have to say after re watching the clip several times, not sure he could have dove on it given his body's position at the time.

As for the post game, I can't say I have ever been interrogated after such a dissapointing day. It's not like he went off on reporters. Give the man a break

Yep. Not that I'm superstitious, but wearing vainglorious, gold "MVP" cleats featuring his season stats during warm-ups before the Big Game kind of says it all. He was ripe for dismantling, and watching Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware relentlessly torpedo the Newton Showboat and send him to the bottom was a real pleasure.

As has been said before, champions don't need to self-promote.

Couldn't help but notice during the post-game presser before he pouted-off how suddenly "Superman" remembered that football is a team sport when childishly sulking through the few answers he did give about the loss; "We didn't do this. We didn't do that". Gosh, what happened to the gold cleats?

Congrats to Ware, Miller, and the Champion Broncos and their fans. Enjoy the well-earned victory!
