312 and 328 bracelet question

Are they exactly the same minus the bracelet? If I got a 312 could I order a bracelet later? What other models does the bracelet fit on

They are the same, it would be more cost effective if you get a 328 first since the bracelet costs a lot if purchased separately.

I figured as much. I just didn't know if the attachments were different. I read somewhere that there is a few ways panerai attaches bands on the different models. Some require a screwdriver and some don't.

Try on the 328 because you might not like the bracelet. I find it too heavy and think it ruins the look of the watch. Mine has been sitting gin the box since new.

I could have saved myself $1100 by just going with the 312 if I had some patience but nobody near me had one at the time

Just tried it on yesterday. I'm one of the few that prefer the bracelet and big thick aftermarket leather straps so I know I'm a little off in that way

I have a 328 and I do like the bracelet. It gives a nice option to alternate between straps and bracelet regularly. To be honest I find the bracelet to be a good option for hot and humid days. I've always been a bracelet person, do that may explain...

is it true that if you go bracelet, you can switch in straps, but, if you go strap out of the box, you can't fit a bracelet after-the-fact? something to do with the lugs?

i dunno, i thought i had heard that, but, i'm probably wrong.

That's kinda what I'm asking. I read the 312 is exactly the same. I've also read you can't swap bracelet onto any watch with the quick detach strap. I'm not familiar with what models that means. Or even if it's a timeframe thing

Yes, you can swap between bracelet and strap
