Flipping

I have just flipped my first watch (4 actually) and it feels a bit strange I sold 2 hublots a tag and a Tudor BBB total received £12500 then bought a new sub no date so have about £7k left ....Now the question i'm asking is am I going to regret this or do you just move on and never think about them again ? It does feel a bit like my dog died but it was old and smelly and for the best But there is still a twinge of pain. Mind you the sub is a lovely new puppy.

Whatever you do, don't buy the same references back. You sold them for a reason. Ask me how I know

I don't think you'll regret it at all but I would put that 7k back into another watch of it were me. Swapping the 4 you did for 2 classic Rolexes sounds like a great move to me

For 7k buy either a SS Date-Just-II, or Explorer-1, or Explorer-2, or White Daytona, or GMT-II and be done with it....

Yeah, if you sell one, don't buy the same watch. So many here have done that over and over again.

They're just watches. If down the road you find yourself really missing one its easy enough to replace

A classic if you are looking to add a dress watch to your collection.

I sold Grand Seiko quartz, Sinn, Omega Railmaster and Oris Aquis. Have an Explorer I incoming. Now have two more to sell and I will add another Rolex.

I will miss all the old ones a bit but it feels good to consolidate down to a couple classic rolexes

Or put it to work in the stock market. Similar odds these days

Curiously enough this in RG is one I sold, but there was a reason as there has been with all that I have sold; that one was size as my wrists had gotten smaller. The only watch I am thinking of buying back is a choco DD2 but now as a DD40. I am considering a different dial colour too as I have that dial as a PP but I might end up getting it nevertheless if that sings loudest in the end.

I would sell one other Rolex and get an Aqua or Naut.
